Each Artist who receives a Focus with Passion Grant is matched with a Mentor - someone who will develop an understanding of the Mentee's:
- Project Objectives,
- Field of artistic pursuit
The Mentor is also able to assist the Mentee with support, guidance and a good dollop of wisdom!
Mentoring involves more than just support - working through challenges can help avoid unnecessary upset, manage distraction and even provide a 'tough love' when needed.
Critically, partnering the right Mentor with the right Mentee is our goal, the reason we've asked you to complete this questionnaire.
Our Mentorship Coordinator will use this information to determine which Grantee would be a fit with the knowledge and skills you are able to bring to the Mentoring Partnership. Once this partnering process commences, we will keep you abreast of developments, so you have time to prepare for what promises to be an exciting and stimulating adventure ahead!
It's anticipated that a Mentoring role will last between 3 and 6 months (the typical Grant Provision period).
During the Mentor / Mentee matching process you will be given a copy of the Mentee's Grant Application. This Document will provide you with a better idea of what's expected of you in the Mentoring role. If you decide the Mentoring period is too long, or the Mentoring requirements are outside your scope, please advise - so we can find you a better Mentor / Mentee match.
This role is voluntary, which is an aspect of this request you may wish to consider when deciding whether or not to join the Focus with Passion Mentorship Program.
